The Bugatti Chiron as You'Ve Never Seen It Before

Bugatti is expected to only build around 100 units of the Veyron's successor each year, and while many of these cars will be kept in garages, some of them will actually get to spend a reasonable amount of miles on the road.

This makes us think of the Chiron's practical side. With a customer who has reportedly seen the car during a presentation confirming the Chiron outguns the Veyron in terms of cabin space and comfort, we're still wondering about the luggage capacity of the newcomer.

We all know that the Veyron offers overly modest luggage accommodation via a compartment in its nose, so we can't wait to see how the engineers and designers worked on this aspect when it came to the Chiron.

Until we get our hands on that kind of details, we're bringing you the rendering above, which shows the Chiron in a rather unexpected manner.

Before you say anything about the Chiron being rendered (top hat tip to Rain Prisk Designs) with a roof box, you should know such practicality-related accessories have been fitted to fast machines before.

Still, we are talking about supercars, not hypercars. Most of the credit for this goes to alpine skier Jon Olsson, who likes to take his gear everywhere he goes. Over the years, he has placed roof boxes on machines such as Lamborghinis and a Nissan GT-R. In fact, you can see Jon doing his hauling thing with a Gallardo in the footage at the bottom of the page.

Returning to the Chiron, the rumored price tag of EUR2 million ($2.19 million at the current exchange rates) will probably keep people from adding such accessories to the mighty machine.
