Following the success of the previous custom bike program which led to the creation of no less than four stunning custom R nineT from four Japanese builders, the Rising Sun division of Motorrad upped the ante with Ignite Straight Six.
Ignite Straight Six is a new project focused on building custom machines based on the K1600GTL platform, probably one of the least explored bikes in the custom scene.

Meet the Juggernaut

The first creation arriving from Japan is the Juggernaut and it belongs to Keiji Kawakita. The bike retains nothing of the massive, elegant attire of the K1600GTL and was transformed into a dark creature emerging from regions of the mind few humans dare to venture into.

However, one feature was unaltered: the masculine, proud and bold stance. Part steampunk and part rat bike, Juggernaut leaves modesty aside and shows off its engaging, thrilling and complex looks.

The GTL was stripped of the fairings and an exoskeleton came in place. Fluid, rounded shapes look organic and ooze a mixture of friendliness and menace.

Kawakita went for a military finish, with studs and rivets in plain sight. The engine cases and covers received the same industrial antiqued finish for a coherent concept. Steampunk fans will rejoice at the sight of pipes and old-school gauges spread all over the bike. If 12 such gauges are not enough, then we don't know what will be.

The beak of the Juggernaut first reminded us of the R1200GS and supermoto bikes, but in this guise, it is strangely similar to the looks of the Bird in the Bioshock Infinite video game.

It will be hard to remove this bike from the mind, and it will probably take some time until we see a better-looking BMW K1600GTL. And even then, Kawakita's Juggernaut will still be a reference in the class. And we're pretty sure tha Jules Verne and Mad max would fight over this bike if they had the change.
