The Biggest Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Fan in China Drives a Passat

You might’ve heard about this car from Lamborghini, the one made almost completely out of carbon fiber that weighs just 999 kg (2,202 lbs), right? It’s name is Sesto Elemento and unlike the material it’s made of, it can be extremely rare to even spot, let alone drive.

Such cars always create a cult around them and understandably so. After all, with a power to weight ratio of 0.57 hp/kg (0.26 hp/lb) the Sesto Elemento deserves all this attention.

That’s all due to the 5.2-liter V10 engine sourced from Audi (Gallardo, says Lamborghini but we all know who made that one in the first place) that makes 578 HP and 540 Nm (400 lb-ft) of torque. However, it’s not just the body shell that was made of the sixth element in Mendeleev’s table.

The drive shaft and suspension components are also made of the light material, while other racing-spec technology was infused all over the place. To keep things as light as possible, the engineers even made sure the seats are extremely thin, being reduced to some sort of pads, positioned inside the car. That’s a little too much if you ask us. As is the price, even though only 20 units were ever made.

So what’s the catch with the Passat, then?

As it turns out, there is a connexion between the B5 Passat and this car. Apart from the fact that they were created by the same huge group (Volkswagen), there’s also another thing that connects the Lambo and the Passat.

That is an avid fan from China that decorated the dashboard of his car with no less than 13 scale models of the car. The idea behind this ‘special’ decoration? Nobody knows but it’s interesting to point out that there’s also a ‘Lnuis Vuitton’ car pad included in the mix, in typical Chinese fashion. That’s not for nothing either. It’s purpose is to hold a golden F1 scale model and a weird wrench.

All jokes aside, this man must really likes the Lambo. Unfortunately, for now, he can only afford an older generation Passat but since he clearly knows what he wants, it’s only a matter of time until he gets it and we wish him the very best of luck!
