Airstream has introduced a brand new trailer to the family of iconic silver-bullet trailers, and it’s directly influenced by the need to work from home as a precaution in the ongoing international health crisis. If we’re going to work from home, we might as well make sure that “home” is wherever we want it to be.

So Airstream took the Flying Cloud trailer, which was first introduced in 1949, as a starting point and developed a mobile home office that delivers the best of both worlds: it allows you to fulfill your daily professional obligations and it keeps you on the road for as long as you want – and have money for gas. Meet the Airstream Flying Cloud 30FB Office, a combination of a home office with a luxurious 30-feet (9.1-meter) trailer packed with all the amenities you’ve come to expect from Airstream.

RVs with dedicated office space are not new because most makers have already taken into consideration the increasing demand for them. But this one is different: it doesn’t feature just a dedicated workspace but a legit, full-sized office. It’s probably smaller than the one you had at your workplace, but it’s an office, alright.

It includes a full-sized desk with a chair that recesses into it so that it stays in one place when not in use, sliding drawers and a pull-out table for even more working space, and cabinets with doors of dry-erase board, so you can get all your thoughts in order. Multiple USB ports, a pop-up USB/AC outlet, mobile internet through Airstream Connected Service, and the possibility for a faster connection through an optional roof-mounted antenna are also part of the deal.

A privacy curtain serves to define the working space and keep other family members away when you’re in the middle of something important. No more kids and pets Zoom-bombing your calls! A seating cube can expand into a single-person bed if you feel the need to lie down for a nap in the middle of the work-day, or in those cases when you might need a spare bed for a friend.

This means that the trailer has everything else you might need for a very comfortable life on the road, like every other Airstream product out there. There’s a queen-size bed in the bedroom at the opposite end, a fully equipped kitchenette with a dining room and a lounge area in the middle (both the sofa and the dining area can expand into further sleeping beds for other family members or occasional guests), and a bathroom.

The trailer has large windows for plenty of natural light and the chance to work/do house chores while taking in the beautiful views. Blackout curtains are standard, for maximum privacy. Optionals include Airstream Power Plus and the Solar Package, which enable longer stays off-the-grid.

The Flying Cloud 30FB Office is compatible with a variety of SUVs and trucks and has a starting price of $107,500, before you add options. Airstreams are considered a lifetime investment, which is just a fancy way of saying they tend to be expensive bought new – and this one is no different. Deliveries to dealers across the U.S. are expected to begin in the coming weeks.
