If, like us, you consider indulgent comfort to be the ultimate luxury, then you'll also agree that the Vargas tiny house exudes luxury through every pore; yet, there's more – the perfect craftsmanship and exquisite details that define Movable Roots models add a glamorous touch to this lavish family mansion disguising as a house on wheels.
The Vargas Tiny is another memorable and inspiring creation from Movable Roots, one of the top names in luxury tiny living. It was custom-built for a customer who wanted to enjoy all the goodies of the brand's Jojo design and take it even further. Compared to Jojo, the Vargas reveals a spacious loft in addition to the ground-floor bedroom and bigger, spa-like bathroom.

This is officially a two-bedroom dwelling, which makes it instantly appealing to families, but it could very well serve as an ultra-comfy abode for couples who want a separate office room or as a sophisticated glamping resort on wheels. Highly flexible configurations such as these turn tiny homes like Vargas into long-term investments; their owners can assign different purposes as their lifestyle changes over the years, and there's always a lot that you can do with a mobile mansion as elegant as the Vargas.

The 26-foot (7.9-meter) length and 10-foot (3-meter) width were used wisely to create an interior that seems twice as big. As you can see, the Vargas is by no means an oversized tiny home, yet it looks and feels like a mansion. Most contemporary tiny homes feature side entrances in the form of sliding glass doors for extra luminosity and openness. Vargas stays classic, featuring a discrete back door in the style of traditional wooden cabins.

This small detail makes it much cozier and more traditional. Still, there's no compromise in terms of luminosity and airiness. While the exterior displays a joyful, holiday-like color palette in vibrant green with yellow accents, the interior goes back to the classic Scandinavian minimalism. An abundance of pure white, together with natural wood and stainless steel accents, creates the visual illusion of a much wider space. The ultra-clean aesthetics are also supported by large windows throughout, which bring in natural light without compromising the home's cozy, intimate ambiance.

The door leads into the living area, a beautiful section that feels almost like an indoor/outdoor space thanks to the large windows. A generous bar with a stainless steel countertop was ingeniously placed close to the entry, taking advantage of the side wall length. This particular placement makes it even more versatile: this could be an informal breakfast bar and a home office desk while also doubling as an occasional storage solution.

One of the most striking features inside the Vargas is the unusual contrast between the white shiplap walls, with their nostalgic vibe, and the contemporary stainless steel accents for an edgier look. This sophisticated combination is particularly noticeable in the kitchen, where premium, full-size appliances were perfectly incorporated into the classic farmhouse-style white furniture. Every inch of space was carefully used to add functionality; for instance, there's a small cabinet right above the microwave and a narrow, longer one fitted above the washing machine nook.

The stainless steel drawer dishwasher is another stand-out amenity that combines functionality with luxury. Plus, the beautiful, farmhouse-style sink also catches the eye. The kitchen was big enough to integrate laundry functionalities in addition to its generous cooking surface and modern appliances.

Last but not least, instead of bulky overhead cupboards, this elegant kitchen features three floating shelves made of wood in a natural shade. They add storage while keeping the area bright and clutter-free; aesthetically, this is a beautiful twist that keeps the all-white palette from becoming too boring and also balances out the stainless steel with a touch of warmth.

If the kitchen is a chef's dream, the bathroom is unexpectedly glamorous for a house on wheels. It's oversized, boasting enough room for a walk-in shower and an extra-large vanity with ample storage. Far from the basic amenities of compact tiny homes, this is a bathroom where it's easy to move around, relax in the shower, and keep all the toiletries and essential textiles well organized. The large LED mirror adds a glamorous touch to the contemporary, ultra-clean aesthetic with metallic accents.

Vargas does provide staircase storage but in a more elegant version. The integrated cabinets don't open up to the side; instead, they open on top, which helps to maintain a cleaner, clutter-free look. The metallic handrail is both functional and decorative. We like how the added loft was beautifully integrated with privacy and safety in mind. Those who normally dislike the basic open lofts of classic tiny homes will surely appreciate this cozy, hidden nest.

Both the staircase and safety wall design cleverly create a sense of protection and intimacy. At the same time, this is a wonderfully spacious loft, which makes it perfect as a second bedroom. It also comes with large windows on both sides. The biggest surprise, however, is the massive built-in closet for flawless storage.

Incredibly, the Vargas Tiny boasts not just one but two of these luxurious closets, one in each bedroom. The downstairs bedroom - a fully enclosed, private room – also features an unusually large closet with sliding doors and additional storage above. There's still enough space left for a built-in bed with walk-around space and two built-in bedside tables. Plus, the bed platform was specifically added to provide even more storage underneath.

Storage can often become an issue with long-term tiny living. That is why this custom tiny home was cleverly designed and equipped to ensure proper storage for an entire family right from the start. Both of this home's bedrooms are equally elegant, roomy, and private – which is enough to elevate the overall luxury level.

Cheerful on the outside and calming on the inside, the Vargas goes beyond its size limitations. While most tiny homes typically focus on one specific amenity above the rest, it's hard to say which room inside the Vargas is the best. The price tag for this recent custom project showed $138,000 and, judging by the quality of the materials and the exceptional design, it was fully worth it.
