The One Motorcycle Show Book project is up for public funding, here on Kickstarter. The idea has already raised more than half the needed money, and there is still time for some more. Several issues of the initial two books have been printed for demo purposes solely, but serious money is needed for a large-scale printing.
Thor Drake's dream of a bike show which is free from the confines of the industry's establishment has come to be real: the 1 Motorcycle Show became reality, bringing together a lot of bike enthusiasts, pro and amateur builders alike, for a special event with special bikes, each with its own special story.
The first two volumes will be printed on glossy paper in impeccable graphics, and will feature a lot of the best bikes in the 2010 and 2011 shows. In case the money is raised and the presses start rolling, Thor Drake plans to quickly issue two more volumes, one with the 2012 bikes and one with the recent items in the February 2013 show.
If you've missed the One Motorcycle Shows altogether, you should know that the next one is scheduled for April 19-20, Austin, Texas, with free admission. For more details, check with the One Motorcycle website. And if you can spare some dimes, here's the project's Kickstarter page once more. The bonus packages are truly nifty!
