Batman is not only a fictional superhero we all have grown up with, it’s more than just a series of super cool adventure movie series. Batman also represents a true line of great day-saviour’s super rides. One of the most popular ones by far is Tim Burton’s Art Deco Batmobile. That’s why creating a lookalike replica case for the iPhone 6 is such a great idea.
It’s not the first time we’re expressing our opinion, but Tim Burton’s Batmobile was arguably the most comic book-like Hollywood version of the famous hero cars. The Art Deco-influenced dark machine is an outward expression of Batman’s anger. The paint is no longer gloss black, it’s just the sort of gunmetal finish that deters and lets criminals know he’s there to fight.
In specs, the full scale 1989 Batmobile is almost 21 ft. 8 in. (6.7 meters) long and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Capable of reaching 330 mph (532 km/h) with the booster on, basically faster than any real car you could buy at the time. It’s no wonder people still build replicas after the iconic car’s blueprints today.
OK, maybe we’ve got a bit emotional here. Getting back to the Batmobile case in question. It appears to be a $50 case/detailed replica that comes with build-in LED lighting, a projector on the back that shines the Batman logo on a wall and a faux utility belt covering the iPhone 6’s home button. It also features pop-out front wheels that give acceess to the phone’s camera lens.
Built in Japan by the the Bandai toy company as part of their “Crazy Case” phone shell series, you’re going to need to call up your Japanese friend if you want to get one since there’s no unit currently available online we've stumbled upon. You can, however, find a Tumbler Batmobile case on Amazon designed for the iPhone 5.
