That Time Santa Rode In on a Chevy Instead of a Sleigh, Fell Off

Santa is usually riding in on a sleigh when he’s delivering presents and, to our best knowledge, he’s usually sober when he’s on duty on Christmas.
This Santa was the exception. A new viral video shot in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil, shows an apparently drunk Santa arriving at a Christmas party on the hood of a Chevy and then falling flat on his face just as the car come to a halt.

You can see it at the bottom of the page as well. “We were making a surprise for the kids on Christmas day but Santa Claus fell off of the car as soon as he arrived at the party,” the caption to it reads.

From the looks of it, Santa was drunk. While he seems to have no trouble to hold on to the car while it’s still in motion, he only falls when he tries to get off. He’s even successful at holding tight with just one hand, while he’s using the other to throw candies for the kids (a Christmas tradition we could all get behind, we believe).

To Santa’s credit, drunk or not, he still pulled through. He recovered after the hilarious fall and continued with the Christmas tradition, though admittedly, he took a tad too long to lift up his pants.

At the end of the day, though, it’s the kids who matter – and they didn’t seem to have noticed much. If they did, they were good to hide their reactions, perhaps knowing there would be presents at the end.

A note to all tipsy (or sober) Santas for the future: if you must make a spectacular entrance at a holiday party, perhaps riding on top of a moving vehicle is not the most inspired idea. That is, as long as you’re partial to not making a fool of yourselves.
