The French may have come up with “Succes de scandale” last century, which led to “there is no such thing as bad publicity”, but they certainly haven’t thought of a marketing disaster such as the one shown in the story we are going to talk about. This sees a Texan plumber shocked to discover his old pickup truck is now being used by terrorists.
Mark Oberholtzer of Mark-1 Plumbing in Texas City, Texas would never have imagined that the truck he sold himself would end up delivering terror. The pic above appeared on Twitter, showing the man’s Ford F-250 being used as a gun platform in the Syrian Civil War.

This sort of conversion is a common practice in the area, with a brief search on Twitter revealing tons and tons of trucks like this. The only difference here is that Oberholtzer didn’t remove the branding on the car and now Americans from all across the country believe the company supports terrorism, as KHOU writes.

This is a small company that is now receiving all sorts of calls from all the parts of the country, with some of them throwing threats at the secretary.

The transaction took place back in November and, like we said, the man traded the car himself at the AutoNation Ford dealership on the Gulf Freeway in Houston. It’s likely that the F-250 changed hands multiple times before ending up in Syria.

You can see the tweet that shows the vehicle working for the Ansar al-Deen terrorist group below. In case you were wondering, that is an anti-aircraft cannon in the bed of the vehicle.
