As Elon Musk said on a recent Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Teslas aren’t just cars: they’re “the most fun thing you can buy.” As early impressions of the V10 update reveal, Tesla is truly gunning to make your life inside their vehicles as fun as possible.
The V10 software update is currently being rolled out to members enlisted in the early access program, and some of these members are using their social media accounts to share their impressions on it. And they swear it turns your car into a non-stop party.

The V10 update brings Caraoke, Netflix and YouTube, which are bound to make the time spent charging all the more fun. The Caraoke option, at least, is meant to be enjoyed either on your own or with other passengers, be they kids or grown-ups such as yourself, with a deep love of good music but not necessarily a good singing voice. Unlike the real Karaoke, no one’s going to judge you if you sign off-key.

Arash Malek from Teslarati and Tesla vlogger Tesla Raj put together a video showing all the goodies in the V10 update, including Caraoke. Songs are grouped by genre, decade or language, and you can also opt for duets, if you’re driving with someone who might be inclined to share a musical moment with you. A Disney curated list is also available, for those times when you’re driving with your kids and the scenery is not enough to keep them entertained.

Netflix and YouTube will be streaming through Tesla Theater, but only in Park mode and connected to WiFi. Caraoke will also be available in Park with lyrics on the screen.

According to Teslarati, “Tesla’s Caraoke is powered by Stingray Karaoke, a web-based service that was borne from the acquisition of Soundchoice by Stingray Digital. Stingray Karaoke’s official website notes that it currently has over 10,000 tracks, with new ones being added every week.”

In other words, even if you’re into singing in your car every mile of your drive, you will still not have to do the same songs over and over again.

On the non-musical or streaming side, the update will also include features like Feeling Hungry and Feeling Lucky, which will help owners find their way to the nearest restaurant. Maps will be updated, an enhanced Summon mode will be included, as will be changes to the app launcher. A new Cuphead game will also be part of the update.

Tesla Theater, through V10, aims to bring all the entertainment inside your vehicle, which goes perfectly with Musk’s idea that Teslas are “things you buy that maximize enjoyment.”
