Tesla's Autopilot Makes the "Invisible Driver" Prank so Much Better

There's this YouTuber called Magic of Rahat who specializes in all sorts of pranks, most of them involving a vehicle.
He's probably become a master at making fake car seats that he can wear, blending in with the real seat and fooling people into believing there's nobody at the wheel. We've seen something similar done at a drive through, and the clerks' reactions were priceless. Now that Tesla has enabled semi-autonomous driving in its cars, the possibilities this opens are even more hilarious. Well, for us, at least.

Not that the people spotting the Model S on the highway seemed too unfazed by the sight. "Oh my God" and "ain't nobody in that car" were the most frequent exclamations, but everybody under the age of 60 eventually pulled out a phone and either photographed or filmed the car.

You know, you'd think that people would be a little more upset about a vehicle roaming on its own on the streets. Maybe call the police and report it? But no, what they would have liked to do was take a selfie, which was unfortunately impossible, so they had to make do with a video they didn't feature in. Feel free to shed a tear for them.

What happened a few weeks ago makes even less sense, when a video of a man who appeared to be snoozing in his Model S while the car was jerking forward in a stop and go traffic situation turned him into the most dangerous driver on the roads. Nobody laughed, nobody thought it was funny, but a car without any sort of driver - sleeping or otherwise? Now that, for some reason, is hilarious.

Rahat did pop up from under his suit eventually, which probably made everybody freak out even more, but we guess it did save him some explanations to the police, as somebody was bound to dial 911 eventually. In any case, we don't know how well his suit works or if he would have been able to take over in case of an emergency, but luckily there were no stopped vans or roundabouts in his way.
