One of the most important European fashion events of the year, the Fashion Week in Berlin will benefit this year from the presence of one very special guest: the Tesla Roadster. Brought to Germany's capital by the American manufacturer to get a bit more exposure, the electric sports cars will be at the center of attention in several locations.
The Roadster will be used, first and foremost, as a transport vehicle for the models, designers and other VIPs attending the event. In addition, the car will be a star in the event itself, as high-fashion women’s wear by Julia Starp has chosen it to accompany her models.
"I want to prove that fashion, beauty, individuality and comfort do not conflict with sustainability - and that's exactly what the Tesla Roadster demonstrates, too,” said Starp, who designed for Birte Glang, Katja Flint, Sarah Maria Besgen, Tokessa Martinius and Viola Möbius.
This is the first European outing of the Roadster this year. The Fashion Week in Berlin will be followed by the opening of the Tesla showroom in Milan (another fashion icon city). The new Tesla store, located right up designer boutiques' alley and in the vicinity of La Scala Opera House and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.
According to Tesla, the appearance of the Roadster in the Fashion Week is also some type of tribute for the people in Germany who have already chosen to drive one. The company's data show that the country is one of the car maker's leading markets, with some 100 customers having bought the electric sports car.
