Tesla Roadster-Based Liv Invizio EV Runs with 150 MPH

With electric cars expected to play a very important role in today's automotive industry, it shouldn't surprise anybody that new automakers become interested in this kind of vehicles. EV Innovations, for example, previously known as Hybrid Technologies, will introduce at the New York Auto Show next month a full-electric sports car called Liv Invizio.

The car will share lots of specifications with Tesla Roadster, globalmotors.net reported today, and will provide a maximum range of up to 200 miles (321 km). The car sprints from 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in approximately 4 seconds, which is fairly impressive taking into account that we're talking about an electric car. If compared to the standard Tesla Roadster, Liv Invizio is 300 pounds (136 kg) lighter, the aforementioned source wrote, with body dimensions slightly different - 6 inches (15 cm) wider and 15 inches (38 cm) longer.

Because we're dealing with an electric car, the battery pack plays a very important role and, as mentioned, it provides a full-electric autonomy of up to 200 miles. The car comes with lithium-ion batteries which are entirely developed within the company and not purchased from other stand-alone battery manufacturers.

The recharging process takes around 8 hours to fully restore the batteries. An LCD screen with touch support mounted on the dashboard tells the driver the current battery level and alerts him whenever it has to be recharged.

In terms of pricing, the Liv Inizio will cost $139,000 (102,787 euros), according to the aforementioned source. However, details are fairly limited at this point, but more information is expected to be unveiled prior to the New York Auto Show.
