The super-SUVs segment is becoming more popular by the season and thus holding a drag race that involves such velocity behemoths is no longer a challenge regarding the show such heavy vehicle can deliver, but rather one that has to do with the selection of the most spectacular duo. And you can't go wrong when throwing a Tesla Model X P100D at a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. After all, the first is the most silent hunter out there, while the latter might just be the loudest.
We've brought along a piece of footage that showcases just such a race. Fortunately, the drivers of the Model S P100D and the GC Trackhawk decided to hit the drag strip, which meant they could keep things on the safe side and enjoy the prepped surface of the track.
Now, as you'll notice in the clip, the Tesla gets the hit. Normally in such conditions, the Jeep shouldn't be able to catch it, at least not during a quarter-mile run like the one we have here.
However, this Hellcat-engined Grand Cherokee showcases uber-impressive sprinting abilities, to the point that makes it expect the thing to be modded.
Regardless of such details, the battle between the two is the kind that will keep you at the edge of your seat from start to finish.
For the record, the electric SUV can play the quarter-mile game in the low-11s arena, while the Jeep is a high-11s vehicle.
As with any drag race, the battle also has an aural side, but there's no point discussing this one here.

What do the numbers tell us?
Since we're not 100 percent certain about the details of the vehicles in the battle mentioned above, we've brought along a second drag racing session, which features a P100D and a stock Trackhawk - you'll find this in the second clip below (the video on the right). For the record, the electric SUV can play the quarter-mile game in the low-11s arena, while the Jeep is a high-11s vehicle.
