Tesla Model X Goes Full Rally Against Hypercars in Breathtaking Renderings

Hypercars are extremes, in more ways than one. Meant for the ultra-rich, they sit at the top of the auto food chain, providing incredible performance and thrills for their owners and passersby in equal measure.

Expensive and extreme as they are, hypercars are usually meant to be treated with extreme care. There are however those who use them to get thrills to entirely new levels, racing these cars to oblivion on racing tracks around the world.

Racing a hypercar is however done on neat, leveled and solid tarmac. We are pretty confident that few people ever thought of converting a hypercar into a rally car.

But what if they did?

A few days ago, we presented six concepts that show how cars would have looked like if, for instance, smart teamed-up with Range Rover or BMW with Lamborghini.

The guys behind those rendering, Australia-based insurance company Budget Direct, are at it again and this time they tried to envision a world where hypercars would race in the dirt.

Eight vehicles you would not normally see in rally races are rendered racing on the dust or in the snow, with their usually low stance trying to tackle the ups and downs of the uneven tracks.

The hypercars you see here are the Bugatti Divo, Ford GT40, Ferrari Portofino, Koenigsegg Regera, Lamborghini Aventador, and McLaren Senna. They are joined by the unlikely company of the Tesla Model X and the Reliant Robin as the underdogs of the pack.

Given the fact that far less potent cars take part in rally racing, should at least one of these cars – except the Robin, perhaps – have been a reality the sport would have undoubtedly have been far more exciting.

As for what rendering is the best, opinions here at autoevolution are divided. Have your say on the matter in the comment section below.
