Tesla Model S Quarter Mile Face Off - the Quietest Drag Race Ever

Earlier this week we brought you a video of a 2014 Corvette Stingray being narrowly defeated by a Tesla Model S P85 in a quarter mile race. Today bring you the same red electric sedan being pitted against... another Model S P85 during the same event.

We've been waiting for a video like this for quite a while, but now that we've seen it, we have to admit EV racing provides no drama whatsoever, despite Tesla's spectacular instant torque. The results aren't bad either, with both sedans pulling 12-second runs at 109/110 mph, but the lack of V8 rumble is what's killing the show.

We hold nothing against the Tesla Model S, America's best selling EV, but if you're looking for some proper drag racing we suggest you have a look at this Texas Pro Mod video.
