The 2018 BMW M5 has been out for quite a while now, with the super-sedan having demonstrated its velocity abilities in all sorts of adventures, from tire-slashing adventures to its drifting world record. And while the Bavarian machine has stared in tons of drag races, we have yet to show you the Bavarian toy duking it out with the Tesla Model S.
An example of the F90 has gotten together with a Tesla Model S P100D with the aim of engaging in a vicious drag racing session. The two go-fast sedans took things to the track, thus benefiting from the prepped surface of the drag strip.
It's worth mentioning that the BMW M5 we have here has been taken down the aftermarket path, albeit just slightly. To be more precise, the Bimmer packs a custom exhaust, with its owner explaining that this allows the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 of the car to deliver 516 hp.
As for the headlight masks of the car, these might remind one of the racing world and yet they are more polarising than most M5 custom pieces we've seen.
Unlike an Internet-famous Model S P100D we've shown you, which features a serious weight reduction, the example we have here come in factory stock trim.
The again, this drag race we have here might bring more an image benefit to the electron juice sipper than the internal combustion engine. After all, people are no longer that interested in the one-trick pony sprinting abilities of the electric sedan.
