Every car guy became a petrolhead thanks to a childhood passion related to automobiles. While some had magazines, other were mesmerized by scale models. So how about a Tesla Model S toy car?
More than a decade ago, owning a scale model of a supercar or a muscle car earned the utmost respect among boys. However, nobody could imagine an electric vehicle being shrunk and turned into a toy car, but the Tesla Model S did it.
Sure, Elon Musk's all-electric sedan is a sensation amongst green car aficionados and supporters, but you know a car has something special about it when Mattel turns it into a scale model for future gearheads, as The Lamley Group writes.
The surprise comes in two guises, as you can have the miniature Model S in either Matchbox or Hot Wheels versions. As you can guess, the Model S built by Matchbox is all about factory specs and equipment: standard wheels, the favorite red paint, and a well-proportioned die-cast body.
Things get hotter once you see the Hot Wheels versions of the Model S. In fact, we're going to actually say this: it looks better than a lot of real-life tuning examples for the Model S sedan. Hot Wheels added spices where they were missing.
Therefore, the car received a rear spoiler and beefier wheel fenders plus a glittery silver paint job. Not the rap star kind of paint job though, but enough to catch and please a child's eye. That being said, we'll take one of each, please.
