Unplugged Performance is specialized with tuning Tesla’s electric vehicles, and after the Model S and Model X, the newest Tesla of them all will soon join the fray. Through a teaser image on Facebook and a second teaser on the company’s website, expecting customers can expect to get an orange Model 3.
Of course, the color is merely a detail that can be changed at the patron’s wish, but Unplugged Performance has a lot more in store for the Model 3 than an outlandish paint job. According to the Hawthorne-based tuner, aftermarket wheels and superlight titanium lug nuts are only the start.

The lug nuts can be had in two finished (burned look and natural titanium), and the price for a set of 10 pieces is $495. Produced from 100 percent 64-grade titanium, the lug nuts are 46 percent lighter than the OEM steel units and accept the OEM caps. As for the wheels, two designs are available.

Made from aerospace-grade forged aluminum, the wheels come in sizes ranging from 18 to 21 inches and cost $6,495 without the tires. The second design, called UP-03 instead of UP-02, starts at $6,495. Including the 245/40Z R21 and 265/35Z R21 tires, the 21-inch wheel set retails at $8,705.

Focusing back on the teaser images for the Unplugged Performance Tesla Model 3 Performance tuning program, it’s easy to notice that we’re dealing with more aggressive bumpers, joined by a rear wing, larger side skirts, and painted calipers. All in all, the finished Model 3 doesn't look half bad.

Images of the interior haven’t been published at the time of writing, but some sort of customization is sure to be offered by the company. On that note, brace yourselves for three distinct pacakges. The range-topping version will include a re-tuned suspension, though Unplugged Performance “forgot” to say if it’s the regular or the Smart Air Suspension the tuner will modify.

All we can do now is wait patiently for Unplugged Performance to publish more photos and details of the tuning program centered on the Model 3.
