Tesla building a station wagon version of the Model 3 isn’t something that’s totally off the table, but until this happens, it’s only up to each of us to imagine how such a model could look like.
Skilled designer Kleber Silva, who has previously created several other renderings, including a Chrysler 300 SUV, has published a new concept that’s specifically supposed to envision a so-called  Tesla Model 3 Touring.

Before you click the photos and watch the model at full resolution, we must warn you: this isn’t the kind of car you’d take home, although given how successful everything Tesla is these days, we wouldn’t necessarily be surprised if such a model ends up becoming super-successful.

While the front of the car is the standard Model 3, all the “magic” happens in the back, where the artist redesigned the whole thing to make the wagon body possible.

And by the looks of things, this Tesla Model 3 Touring uses the back of the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake for a design that could easily become a love-it-or-hate-it idea.

For the time being, however, it’s probably still a good thing that Tesla isn’t looking into building a station wagon version of the Model 3, especially if the car ends up looking like this. On the other hand, Tesla doesn’t typically go for a regular approach that’s easy to anticipate, and the Cybertruck itself is living proof of how the company likes to do things a little bit different than others.

For what it’s worth, Elon Musk seems to be busy with the existing lineup, as he recently confirmed that the Roadster, for example, would still have to wait for some other models to happen and only then get the go-ahead for production. The Cybertruck is the next one in queue to see daylight, followed by the upgraded Model S and Model X, so the Roadster and whatever comes after that won’t show up anytime soon.
