The two things people are looking forward to the most this spring are the new Game of Thrones season, which is due in April, and Tesla's Model 3 unveiling scheduled for March 31 at 8:30 pm Pacific time.
The brand's first mass-market product will be launched during an event held at Tesla's Hawthorne facility in California. It was recently reported that despite the nature of the car, the event itself will be rather low-key in amplitude, with less than 1,000 people expected to attend. In fact, Tesla even organized an online raffle for the 650 invitations on offer last week, in which only current Tesla owners were allowed to take part.
It seems Tesla is focusing on quality rather than quantity, but it will make the event available to everyone interested by live streaming the procedures on the Internet. Those who want to be among the first to see the new car and hear Elon Musk talk about it need only access the newly acquired Tesla.com domain next Thursday at 8:30 pm Pacific time.
Those who would like to make sure they don't wait longer than necessary to get their hands on the new Model 3, though, can begin placing their deposits on the same day as the event. There are two possibilities available: on- and off-line. The former can be accessed on the Tesla.com, but only once the event is underway, while the latter is available at all Tesla stores across the world starting March 31 morning. Find your nearest store on the Tesla website.
As always, owners of previous Tesla products will have priority, but at least there will be separate waiting lists for each region, so the smaller markets will still get a fair share of the first cars that roll off the line. The blog post published yesterday also divulged the deposit sum needed to reserve a Model 3 based on each currency:
