Truth be told, if you compare what Tesla sells here with Ferrari merchandise, you’ll notice that it’s not as chavvy and awful as the garbage the Prancing Horse will gladly sell you for way too many green dollar bills. But one thing got us extremely curious.

The last time we checked shop.teslamotors.com, the merch website didn’t feature any retrofit bits and bobs and accessories specially developed for the Tesla Model S and the Tesla Roadster.

Beware though - these things are more expensive than a plush beach towel adorned with the Tesla logo.

For starters, a full exterior carbon fiber kit for the Tesla Roadster is priced at $9,000, but we are also offered with the possibility to buy those composite parts individually. For the interior of the Roadster, owners are offered with a carbon fiber instrument binnacle ($600) and stereo binnacle ($800), carbon fiber center console trim ($1,200), as well as a full carbon fiber hardtop that costs a whopping $5,000.

An adjustable suspension kit is also available ($6,000), joined by a small selection of wheels, tires, car covers, adapters and connectors. Then there’s the new Tesla Model S collection, which doesn’t do carbon fiber. Owners of the electric sedan can choose from a variety of stuff, including a yacht floor ($650), premium piano black center console ($600), rubber floor mats, chargers, the whole nine yards.
