Tesla Fans Set Their Sights on GM's Bolt with Latest Movie-Inspired Parody

These things have got to end. Surely two of them is enough, otherwise they'll just become like those "Hitler is mad about something" videos that stopped being funny a long time ago.
After the unveiling of the Model 3 and the surge of registrations that followed, Tesla fans have understandingly become a little overexcited. They think their favorite carmaker is on the brink of becoming the world's greatest, and while that may be true at some point, you can't help feel it's a little early to start celebrating yet. After all, the Model 3 is still one and a half years away, at best.

But when has reason ever stopped exuberant people from making their joy known to others? We saw a prime example of this only a few days ago when a Tesla monster smashed to bits the Audi, Lexus, and Porsche astronauts, with Faraday Future whimpering behind a rock (it will all make a lot more sense when you actually see the footage). So with some of the luxury carmakers out of the way, the fans have turned Tesla's rage on its direct competitor: GM's Chevy Bolt.

Dan Nicholson, GM's vice president of global propulsion systems, recently took a stab at Tesla's Model 3 saying their car is going to be the first affordable EV with 200-miles of maximum range to reach the market, without the need of a $1,000 deposit. You'd think that the feverish way in which Apple fans defended their favorite brand throughout the years taught others not to attack another company that enjoys the same kind of following, but you'd be wrong.

So Tesla fans came up with an even better parody to demolish GM's EV hatch than the previous clip: they used a sequence from "The Avengers" in which the Hulk has a short but fruitfull encounter with Loki, which doesn't end well for one of them. What makes this funny is Loki's (that would be GM) speech: "Enough! You are, all of you, beneath me. I am a god, you dull creature. And I will not be bullied by..." This is when the Hulk (Tesla, respectively) interrupts and puts an end to Loki's delusional monolog.

The clip does reflect the way the established names of the car industry regarded themselves as being above these newcomers like Tesla, in the same way gods looked down on mortals. But we're not yet at a point where Tesla can claim to slam these carmakers on the ground senseless. It may rule the EV segment, but that's still an insignificant part of the entire global market. It does seem to be on the right track, though, so this clip might be more of a prophecy than a parody.
