Once more, riders mistaking the public roads for a race track are a menace for the other motorists’ safety. It’s really sad seeing such fellows not only injuring themselves but casting a very bad light on the riding community, a community which is already dealing with the crappy less-than-perfect way non-riding individuals see it.
Unfortunately, I know that such riders are willingly ignoring how bad things can go in a split second, and how much a difference being a couple of inches too wide makes in such situations. These chaps have way too much confidence in their riding skills and way too little functional brain in their heads.
It’s almost weird to see such crashes despite the fact that the internet is full of similar footage of riders making similar mistakes, and some of them paying the definitive price for this. It looks like this will go on and on, as each day a motorcyclist would believe he’s on par with the likes of John McGuinness and use the common roads for some Snaefell-like practice. Too bad that Colombian roads are nothing like the closed streets on the Isle of Man and too bad that this fellow can’t understand the meaning of a double yellow line.
