If there's one thing we've learned from Sharapova's career as Porsche brand ambassador, it's that she she like to ride shotgun, not get behind the wheel. A chauffeur was thus needed and he was found in form of Porsche works driver Mark Webber, a seasoned driver with over 200 adrenaline-packed F1 races under his belt.

After Serena Williams suffered a surprise defeat, Maria Sharapova looks ready to win her second-ever title at Wimbledon this year. The biggest obstacle standing in her was is the grass court with which many players have struggled. Maybe the "green" Porsche will give her a little insight.

Sharapova might be able to serve a ball at 100 miles per hour (162 km/h), the 214mph top speed of the Porsche has her outgunned. The beautiful tennis star says this is the first time she's been in a hybrid driving around London and was thoroughly impressed. The two-seater supercar will even do 93mph in silent pollution-free EV mode and holds the current lap record for the fastest full production car around the Nurburgring tack in Germany.

"Having just driven the Porsche 919 Hybrid race car at Le Mans last weekend, I already know that this technology can produce incredible results," said Webber.
