Teen with No Driver's License ‘Spanks’ Chevy Camaro SS

A Camaro5 forumster (Dertybr) was hit where it hurts the most, recently after he bought his 2010 Camaro SS. He got into a total loss situation after his precious car was rear-ended last week by a teenager driving a Ford Escape.

As you can see in the pictures, the crash sight is painful, not only for the car’s owner, but also for any Camaro lover. And when we found out the teenager who crashed the $34,000 vehicle had no insurance nor a drivers license, the pain grew even stronger.

Luckily, according to Camaro5 forum via carscoop.blogspot.com, Dertybr’s insurance replacement protection plan covered this loss and will be taking delivery of another brand new Camaro any day now. Still, that will probably not replace the forumster first love, but it’s certainly better than nothing.

As we previously announced, GM recently recalled 1,243 2010 Camaros in the US due to a glitch concerning the electrical system and the battery cables which could lead to a short-circuit and eventually, to a fire. Let's hope Dertybr's new Camaro will not have this problem and stays out of future trouble.

The three trim levels offered by the 2010 Camaro, LS, LT and SS, come in several engine choices, the most powerful of all being fitted onto the SS, a 6.2l V8 powerplant, which develops 400 horsepower.

The SS Camaro runs from zero to 60mph in just 4.6 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds. Four-piston Brembo brakes help stop the Camaro SS in 117ft.

As seen in the pictures, all these qualities of the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS didn’ help Dertybr very much. He had to have some self-control not to work on the kid until his face looked like the rear-end of the car...
