“Selfie” may have been THE word of 2013, but its ways are not always clean, as one teenager recently found out. The teen was trying to take a selfie, standing at a more or less safe distance from an incoming train and ended up being kicked in the head by the conductor.
The teenager, whose Youtube account leads one to believe is called Jared Michael, was actually filming himself, so the whole feat was caught on camera. There seems to be no apparent reason for the teen to be filming instead of taking a picture, which does raise suspicions on the clip’s authenticity.
Nevertheless, the teenager was using his earphones when the train approached, so the conductor’s efforts to make him step further aside were futile - we doubt that a pair of headphones can block out a train’s air horn though...
As the train reaches our... ahem... hero, the conductor serves him a boot to the head. The teenager then talks to the camera, pointing out what had just happened. Fake or not, the idea is you have to make sure you don’t pay too much of a price for a selfie.
Oh and for all those wondering, this could just be PeruRail line.
