Famed Lamborghini tuner DMC Germany has released the first set of teaser images for what they call the Aventador LP988 Edizione GT. Looking more like a race car than any project they’ve previously revealed, a heavy infusion of ground effects is visible to the naked eye.
No official info has been released yet, so what you see is what you get. However, there are plenty of major changes that we can talk about. For example, a large splitter has been added to the front and continues down the side with racy side skirts. At the back, things really do get crazy, with what appears to be a carbon fiber deck lid for the engine, huge wing and even bigger difuser. The exhaust has moved and is now made up of two upward-pointing nozzles that are close to the taillights. There’s a hint of Sesto Elemento and a dash of Trophy race car.

We can only presume that this body kit will be accompanies by a full engine upgrade that takes the 6.5-liter V12 from 700 hp to 988 hp, probably through turbocharging.

How very cool of them to show the coolest tuning project of the year just as it’s ending!
