Team Aspar Unveils 2011 Bikes in MotoGP, Moto2 and 125GP

There is only one team that will tackle all classes of the 2011 FIM Road Racing World Championship – namely the MotoGP, Moto2 and 125GP categories – and its name is Team Aspar. And since there are only two weeks remaining until the start of the new season, the Spanish squad decided to unveil the challengers with which it expects to keep the headlines throughout the 2011 campaign.

Starting with the MotoGP class, the team will once again put its entire efforts in the hands of Spanish rider Hector Barbera, while switching to a new red and white color scheme – courtesy of the new sponsorship deal between the Spanish team and sponsor Mapfre for the MotoGP and Moto2 classes.

Javier Simon and Xavi Fores will this year try to put Team Aspar on top of the classification in the Moto2 class, while the 125GP category will benefit from 3 entries from the team, namely Nicolas Terol, Hector Faubel and Adrian Martin.

I'm very proud that for the second year running the Aspar Team will have a structure that sees us compete in all three World Championship categories,” said team manager Jorge Martinez in a statement for the press.

It's an exceptional challenge and involves a team who are working fantastically. We are constantly working to take this project forward. Seeing as the team is working so well, and in both the 125cc and Moto2 categories, the aim is clearly to go for both titles.”

As far as the team's goals in the MotoGP category go, Team Aspar is seeking to become a major satellite team for Ducati, while trying to secure regular finishes inside the Top 10.

In MotoGP we now have a year's experience, and I hope we can finish regularly in the top ten, even in the top five in some races. This year we are also running a completely Spanish team, practically all Valencian, and it's an honour for me to be able to work with Spanish riders with such great potential,” added the manager.
