This year’s edition of the UK’s Autosport International show has seen the launch of the new TDv6 Diesel Wildcat, an extreme off-roader built by Qt Services Ltd. The new version borrows the Land Rover Discovery 4’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine, which now delivers 316 hp and a peak torque of 513 lb-ft (695 Nm).
The company has worked with electronics and transmission specialists to perfectly integrate the new engine. The oil-burning race car will be entered in the Tuareg Rally, which is scheduled to kick off in Spain in March.
“This new engine has exceeded our expectations. Delivering 316 HP and 513 lb-ft of torque it produces more than enough power to deal with the toughest off road conditions in the world”, said Qt’s MD, Dave Marsh.
