Tata Nano Cabrio is a Giga Nonsense

The Tata Nano is one of the products that come natural in our modern society, with people taking a logical decision and accepting such a vehicle thanks to the financial benefits that come with it.After all, the car was born from the desire to offer mobility to the people, with a marketing-flavored story told by Tata, which said that the Nano was created to offer a safe transportation alternative for families who used scooters for their journeys.

It seemed like a fair decision to offer people the possibility to take their kids from a scooter’s rear-view mirror, taillight or wherever they used to sit during a family drive that included at least three persons and place them within the shell of a car.

But here is where the logic ends and the one million kitsch stars Bollywood-wannabe status begins for the tiny vehicle. Believe it or not, Tata has built a convertible version of the Nano, which comes with body vinyls and shiny step bars. The car was revealed by the Wheelospere website.

The company is using topless Nanos as tour vehicles, allowing visitors to get a window-less look of its Sanand production site in India. Let’s hope the car will just fulfill Tata’s weird fantasies and won’t become a public threat.

The drop-top Nano is wrong in so many ways. First of all, all the Jaguars in the world might want to wear a paper bag if the Nano-nonsense hits the streets, and that would be the last thing we want. Then, there’s another, more rational point of view: we can’t imagine how the Nano’s body was “engineered” to cope with the lack of the roof...
