TapouT Owner Killed in Ferrari Crash

About two months ago, Cristiano Ronaldo was involved in a horrific car accident when his Ferrari smashed into a wall but he was lucky enough to emerge unhurt. But not everybody that drives a Ferrari is that lucky...

According to TMZ, TapouT owner, Charles Lewis Jr.  also known as "Mask" was involved in a terrible car accident yesterday when his $300,000 Ferrari crashed into a light pole. Following the accident, "Mask" was declared dead at the scene. A female passenger who was with "Mask" in the Ferrari was ejected from the car due  to the impact. She was taken to a local hospital, but it seems that her condition is very bad.

"It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we must regretfully confirm the passing of our beloved friend, brother and co-founder Charles "Mask" Lewis following a car accident that occurred last night. We are currently in the process of setting up a memorial service in his honor and will release more details as they become available. Many thanks to all for the outpouring of blessings and well-wishes during this incredibly difficult time," a representative for TapouT said in a statement on the TapouT web site the next day after the tragic accident.

Charles Lewis Jr. was driving his Ferrari Modena in Orange County, California, yesterday morning around 1:00 a.m. Cops said that "Mask" apparently lost control on the car which "left the roadway, hit the curb, took out a light pole."

More importantly, cops think that the accident happened because the TapouT owner was racing against a Porsche at that moment. The man who was driving the Porsche identified as Jeffrey David Kirby has been arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter.

More importantly, cops are also investigating if alcohol was involved in the matter.
