Tanner Foust Completes 2010 Race of Champions List

Now that all the major racing series in the world have already crowned their champions, it's time to sit back and enjoy the annual Race of Champions event, this year to be held in Dusseldorf, on the Esprit Arena, between November 27-28.

Throughout the last few months, we have continuously reported to you every world champion that confirmed his presence in the event. Today it's time to present you the last member of the 2010 RoC champions' list, namely drifting sensation, X-Gamer regular and multiple gold medalist in rally and rallycross Tanner Foust.

Foust is no stranger from the Hollywood scene also, as he used to be a stunt driver in movies such as The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift, Iron Man 2 and The Dukes of Hazzard. As far as his presence in the RoC goes, his first time here was back in 2008, when he defeated soon-to-become F1 world champion Jenson Button. Two years later, in Beijing, he teamed up with countryman Travis Pastrana in the RoC Nations Cup, helping Team USA reach the semifinals.

In 2010, he will switch to Team All Stars, where he'll drive alongside 5-time 500cc FIM world champoion Nick Doohan.

We’re delighted with the line-up of stars and cars we’ve put together for this weekend’s Race of Champions. The reigning champions from the two biggest series in motor sport will have a rare chance to pit themselves against many of the greatest drivers of all time. The wide mix of machinery will test them all out so we can find the ultimate ‘Champion of Champions,” said IMP President Fredrik Johnsson.

Faust will join big names of the world motor racing scene this weekend, only a few names that come to mind being newly-crowned F1 champion Sebastian Vettel, 7-time F1 champ Michael Schumacher, 4-time F1 ace Alain Prost, 7-time WRC champion Sebastien Loeb, 8-time Le Mans 24-Hour Race winner Tom Kristensen, 2-time BTCC champion Jason Plato, Eleven-time X-Games gold medallist Travis Pastrana or 3-time WTCC champion Andy Priaulx.

The cars used in this year's edition of the RoC will be the Audi R8 LMS, benefiting from an incredible power of 525 hp from its V10, Porsche 911 GT3  and VW Scirocco R Cup, alongside RoC regulars KTM X-Bow, Solution F Prototype, FJ Racecar and the RX150 buggy.
