In addition to the 2015 Focus four-door sedan and Focus Electric, Ford's stand at the New York Auto Show will also feature a Transit-based concept with gentlemen's club on wheels credentials. The ultra-luxury van is a joint effort from Ford and Galpin Auto Sports, featuring 487 cubic feet (13.79 cubic meters) of interior space.
The concept's underpinnings are strongly related to the all-new Transit full-size van, which will make its debut in North American later this year. This design study's party piece is represented by its transformable interior.

In Theater mode, the reclining seats face a 52-inch retractable Stewart movie screen at optimal viewing angle. Business mode unfolds a motorized table and brings the leather-trimmed seats around it for face-to-face meetings.

As for Reception, this mode opens the sliding door and arranges the seats for easy entertaining while parked at an event. Last but not least, Travel mode lets you adjust all reclining seats and retractable footrests for ultimate comfort.

All four modes can be called forth at the simple touch of a smartphone or tablet screen, thanks to a Creston automation system. Ford's Transit Skyliner Concept also has a built-in bar and entertainment system featuring 7.2 surround sound, satellite HD TV and lots of media storage for all your favorite movies and music.

Unlike most other concepts, Ford plans to release a production version of the Skyline, aimed at commercial fleets, shuttle providers and high-end transportation services.

The all-new Transit will replace the Ford E-Series, America's best-selling van for the past 35 years. It will be offered in van, wagon, chassis cab and cutaway flavor, with three wheelbases and roof heights to choose from. Expect to see the new Transit van in North American showrooms sometime this summer.
