By now, we’ve all seen the 2015 Ford Mustang from every possible angle and now we know all of the details about the next-gen pony car, but we’ve yet to really see this car in action. The guys over at TorqueNews are helping out with that courtesy of two videos shot during hot laps at Ford’s Dearborn Development Center.
Ford was giving short rides of the new Mustang around the Dearborn test track, and TorqueNews had its camera rolling during the laps in the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost and the 2015 Mustang GT. The track includes a few hills, twists and turns, and while the videos don’t really give us an idea of the Mustang’s handling abilities, the audio is well worth it.

The first video posted below if of the 2015 Ford Mustang GT with the GT Performance Package. With its 435-hp, 5.0-liter V-8 and a six-speed manual gearbox, this car tears around the track with a menacing growl. The Mustang GT has always been defined by its deep, throaty exhaust note, and the 2015 Ford Mustang continues this trend.

After the GT, they then got to ride in the 2015 Ford Mustang with the six-speed automatic and the EcoBoost Performance Package. As we just learned, this car is powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged inline four-cylinder that is rated at 310 hp and 320 lb-ft. More importantly, this video shows that despite its small engine, the new Mustang will still have a more aggressive exhaust note than many four- and six-cylinder cars that it will compete against.

While there’s still a few more months until the general public will be able to ride in the new ‘Stang, these videos help prove that the EcoBoost models will be no slouch and the GT will be downright amazing.
