Sportsmen might be partnering up with auto makers to make some extra cash, but almost every time we take a closer look at what these people really enjoy driving around it’s usually something else they get for free. NBA star LeBron James has a Ferrari 458 Italia Spider as a daily driver, even though Kia gave him a K900 sedan as part of their collaboration.
Since all the automakers are teasing sportsmen with their hottest models, we’re getting used to spotting fresh cars on Instagram first rather than in spy photos (well, not really). It’s the case with NBA star LeBron James anyway, who told everybody he’s partnering up with Kia before the company would get the chance to announce it officially.
He posted an image of the car he got from the Koreans on Instagram, quoting he loves the K900 very much. It was later on officially announced that Kia Motors America have closed a new multiyear extension of their marketing partnership. As part of their collaboration with NBA All-Star LeBron James and to celebrate the start of the season, the auto maker debuted a new television advertorial called Valet.
The two-time Olympic gold medal winner might be singing along with Kia and their K900 sedan, but few rides out there can make a petrol head happier than a Ferrari 458Italia Spider.
And like all famous people out there, Cleveland Cavaliers’ star naturally got his exotic for a nice custom touch. We have to admit though, the dark-red exterior is quite impressive and smooth, while the tinted windows and dark tan leather interior complete the sportscar and turn it into a a gorgeous speed-machine.
