BMW created a phenomenon that went beyond their expectations when they decided to create the first Art Car. Over the years, famous artists put their signature on such a model, courtesy of BMW and now German Tuner Hamann also jumped in the game.
They unveiled their own Art Car last year at the Essen Motor Show in Germany, and we were pleasantly surprised by what they came up with. As a matter of fact, the design was created by German artist Timo Wuerz that is quite famous in his homeland for his comic books.

Since this is a Hamann product, after all, the looks couldn’t be the only item that changed on this car. The engineers working for the tuner also gave the car a proper upgrade under the bonnet.

The 3-liter biturbo inline 6-cylinder engine was uprated to 520 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque while the aerodynamics were also improved. The front bumper received a new splitter while the boot lid now has a proper wing on it for more downforce.

Considering what the M4 is capable of in standard guise, we can only imagine more traction for the rear wheels at higher speeds is only a good thing. Especially since the engine now has around 100 extra HP to play around with.

There’s no price info for the car just yet, and we don’t know if it’s ever going to be sold either. Considering it’s the only one of its kind in the world, we reckon Hamann won’t sell it too soon either. Shmee got to take a ride in it. Let’s hear what he has to say.
