If you’re looking for a mobile app that can help you track mileage and keep an eye on fuel consumption and the overall maintenance costs for your car, Fuelio is one of the best choices.
Developed by Sygic, the same company that brought us an award-winning navigation solution on mobile devices, Fuelio has recently received a series of updates on Android, and there’s no doubt users will find them pretty cool going forward.

First and foremost, it’s the latest and greatest version, which brings the app to 7.6.28 and introduces fuel prices for Chile. So if you live in Chile and use Fuelio to monitor everything related to your car, this new version provides you with more accurate prices for fuel in your country.

There are also translation updates in this new version, which is quite important given the app is used by millions of people around the globe.

The previous release, which brought the app to version 7.6.27, included a hotfix for a Google Maps issue that the parent company says will stay in place until the search giant itself comes up with a solution.

More specifically, the bug resides in the Google Maps SDK and causes some apps to crash, so a number of developers turned to a temporary workaround to prevent the issue from occurring.

On Thursday 23 April 2020 at 11:22 US/Pacific, applications on iOS and Android using the Google Maps SDK (as well as Google's own Maps application) started crashing. Crashes were induced when a map was displayed, or soon after the application was started. Most installed applications recovered by 23 April 22:00 US/Pacific, but a long tail of installations continued to be impacted for the following 5 days, at which point crash rates returned to normal,” Google said.

At this point, the issue has already been mitigated, so if you’re using Sygic’s Fuelio, everything should be working just fine.
