Alicia Keys’ husband, rapper and producer Hasseem Dean, better known by his stage name Swizz Beatz, recently posted a couple of images with the red Lotus he designed himself and of which only five were made. He quoted it was time for the 2014/15 one, so now we’re wondering if Swizz is working on a new design or a new gift for his wife.
You might not know, but there are some rappers out there that really like to get their nose in almost everything. From music mixing and producing, to designing super expensive clothing lines and even supercars. It’s also the case of Real Swizz, best known as Alicia Keys’ husband.
As a matter of fact, Haseem Dean was named vice president of creative design of the luxury British car company in August, 2011 and soon after designed a special-edition Lotus Evora GTE. Having a muscular-looking body with a chrome and ruby red paint job, the company made only five of them and they sold like warm bread.
Beatz’ Evora model came with a 3.5-liter V6 engine developing 444 horsepower, and reaches the 0 to 60 mph mark in 4.5 seconds. And, thanks to generous use of carbonfibre, the sportscar also is 231 lbs (105 kg) lighter than the standard Evora. Kasseem unveiled the hardcore road racer during a star-studded New York party with his wife Alicia Keys, actor Stephen Baldwin, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons and T.I. Only five were ever made and they were sold almost immediately.
Alicia Keys’ husband is one of the sportscar connoisseur and by far a Lotus fan, so of course he bought his wife one, as well. He picked up for her a Lotus Elise and gifted her right on his birthday.
“SB X Lotus 2011/2012 this was epic moment in my life. #BX #blessings now it’s time for 2014/15,” Swizz quoted next to the picture of the 1st of the five he designed. All this considered, we’re wondering whether the post he recently made on his Instagram is more of a hint than just the average social media activity. Who knows, maybe the producer is working on a new model or even thinking buying a new one for Alicia. Well, time will tell...
