A common presence in the world of motorsport, the Swiss watch manufacturer Tissot is now officially the title sponsor of the Australian GP, to be held at the Phillip Island circuit, October 20.
A long-time and valued timekeeping partner of the MotoGP, Tissot decided to go for the max exposure possible during the Australian round which is now henceforth known as the Tissot Australian Grand Prix.

By all means a brand dedicated to tradition, it's really nice to see Tissot strengthening their relationship with MotoGP and choosing the 25th anniversary of the Phillip Island circuit as the perfect moment to gain solid publicity and exposure during the special event.

The Phillip Island circuit had its fastest lap with the local rider Casey Stoner back in 2008 (1m28s665), with the same rider able to set the best pole with the same time. The circuit record belongs to Nicky Hayden (1m30s059), while the Czech rider Karel Abraham was the fastest rider on the Phillip island ever, reaching a top speed of 339.6 km/h (211.06 mph) in 2012 aboard Ducati machinery.
