You may not be very familiar with the DS Automobile tuning company, but that shouldn’t get in the way of checking out their work. Such is the case with the BMW M4 in front of you, created by the Swiss in collaboration with Hamann Motorsport.

The car received almost the entire package that you can get from the German tuner, going from the aero parts to engine tuning. We’ll go into detail in a minute, but in the meantime, if you were feeling sorry that you can’t get a BMW M4 GTS, this tuned M4 is basically the closest thing to it.

Probably the most significant upgrade and the one that most people will be interested in is the piggyback kit for the engine. The guys from Hamann can take your car up to 517 PS and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque with something as simple as switching a couple of buttons. The folks over at DS Automobile, however, claim that their version has even more power, 530 PS to be more precise. How they achieved those figures it’s unknown for the moment, but if their claims are true, we’re suspecting a new exhaust.

Regarding visual changes, you can easily spot the GT3-style carbon fiber front spoiler and the new carbon fiber hood. Since we’re talking about the lightweight material, we should also mention that it was also used for the rear diffuser and the rear wing. Yes, that thing does remind us of the GTS, but it was designed for different specs altogether.

Even though DS Automobile didn’t mention it, we noticed that a new set of side sills might’ve also been installed, as well as some extensions for the rear bumper, on the sides of the exhaust pipes. By the way, the quad setup at the back was also fitted with trims made of carbon fiber.

The decals on the doors, sills and rear fenders are a clear hint at who was in charge of the transformation process, featuring the logos of DS and Hamann. The latter are incomplete, nearly hugging the Anniversary Evo Hyper Black wheels measuring 9x21 inches up front and 11x21 inches round the back.

All in all, it may be safe to say that this is as close as you can get to a track car without actually making it unusable for daily drives.
