Swarovski-Studded MINI Cooper for the Royal Couple

Now that Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s wedding has finally materialized, many wondered what the royal couple would ride. Bling My Thing, a Berlin-based company, has teamed up with Swarovski to crystallize a “royal” Mini Cooper in order to show what they think should be the perfect matrimonial car for William and Kate.

With more than 300,000 Swarovski touches applied by hand, this car flaunts SwanFlower patterns on the body, consisting of different sized crystals that are as small as 1.8 mm. The entire roof is covered with thousands of crystals, aligned to create the Union Jack design.

Dubbed by its creators the “Royal MINI Cooper,” it’s hard to believe this car could be become the king of bling. We all like to add a little sparkle to our rides, regardless the form we choose, but Swarovski crystal studded vehicles are a bit too pimped out for our taste. And we can only assume it’s too pimped for the Royal Couple as well.

A royal look-alike couple will unveil the wheels Saturday at Westfield, London, where the car with the glittery Union Jack roof and a Swanflower-imprinted chassis will be on display through May 1.

However, we bet the newlyweds have other things on their mind right now, rather than think on what car they should drive on their way to the honeymoon destination, which still remains a secret for the moment. But considering the fact that as Kate joined him at the altar, William leaned over smiling and told his bride-to-be that she looked “beautiful”... we can say for sure that no matter where they will choose to spend the next two weeks, they will be happy as long as they have each other.
