Good news for the riders who want more comfort from their 2013-2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000: Corbin has just announced the all-new Canyon Dual Sport custom seat for these bikes, obviously with the optional Ovalbac backrest for even more convenience.

This new one-piece two-up seat is already equipped with a special mounting plate for the Ovalbac backrest, offered at no extra charge for those who want to upgrade in the future. The backrest itself s optional and can be ordered separately.

Corbin’s new V-Strom 1000 seat is designed as a direct replacement for the OEM one, and can be easily installed with no complex operations involved, and no modifications needed to the bike. The proprietary Fibertech basepan was covered in the Corbin traditional Comfort Cell foam, which will break in after around 1,500 miles (km) and provide a custom supportive fit for the rider.

Ergonomic shaping for the seat maximizes the contact area, eliminating pressure hot spots and providing riders and passengers with a more comfortable position for a longer time. The seat is covered in genuine leather which comes in multiple designs, including carbon fiber and traditional grain. Optionally, you can even add heating, with a dual-power convenient switch installed in the side panel of the seat, but it looks like it is a treat reserved for the rider’s seat only.

Now, while the seat is a very cool upgrade for your V-Strom 1000 and worth the $393 (€295) or $533 (€400 with heating), I can’t seem to fathom why would any rider add the Corbin glovebox to this bike…
