With the current generation Swift, Suzuki has made the ever so slightly bigger than before. This will allow the Japanese automaker to slot a new, smaller car underneath the Swift.
That A-segment hatchback is being revealed today as a concept called the A:Wind. As this cute little car makes its way to the 30th Thailand International Motor Expo 2013, full details and photos have been revealed.
Suzuki says the name was given because the car will bring a fresh wind to the A-segment as a global compact car. The exterior is bold, dominated by the Emergency Yellow color, which according to them is "evocative of the cheering and excitement of a stadium in midsummer". They've also created a new Panoramic Blue, "suggesting cloudless azure skies over tropical beaches."
The A:Wind will enter full production in 2014 and will b assembled in Thailand. It will be 3,600mm long, 1,600mm wide and 1,540mm tall. Power will come from a 1-liter petrol engine sending power to the front via a CVT gearbox.
