Suzuki’s UK division is introducing a new Special Edition SX4 model dubbed SZ-L, which is set to go on sale this week.

The SZ-L comes with an urban appearance, featuring a Gunmetal finish for the roof rails, front grille, alloy rims and front & rear skid plates. The interior of the vehicle has also been upgraded, as it has received an Alacantra trim finished in light Grey, as well as a three spoke steering wheel that uses a leather finish with Gunmetal stitching, as well as a dashboard-mounted CD changer with six discs.

Suzuki’s SX4 is a distinctive five-door hatchback that blends the characteristics of sporty compacts exemplified by the Swift, with those of lightweight SUVs such as the Grand Vitara, to create an exciting small car alternative. The new SZ-L model brings true urban styling to the popular SX4,” stated the press release.

The new model is based on the SZ4 equipment level, using a 1.6 liter gasoline engine that delivers 120 hp and is mated to a manual transmission, sending the power to the front wheels.

The 1.6 liter powerplant uses variable valve timing with a variable intake system in order to offer a good response. The engine allows the vehicle to cover the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 10.7 seconds. The unit, which meets the Euro V emission standards, returns a fuel economy figure of 45.6 UK mpg (38 U.S. mpg or 6.19 liters per 100 km) and emits 143 grams of CO2 per km.

The SZ-L has a price of 13,145 pounds - this includes metallic paint, available in two colors: Silky Silver Pearl and Cosmic Black.
