While the video shows rather consistent riding through the bends prior to the crash, so the most likely explanation for this crash is losing focus before the turn, with losing balance as the next thing, making it impossible to ride though the bend.
Taking a closer look at the accident, we can clearly state that by the time he starts going off the ideal track, the chances to make it past the turn were reduced to almost zero. Some say that he could have leaned harder and possibly avoid going off the road. This remains a possible option to save the day, but it looks like that solution was not on the day's menu this time.
