Suzuki GSX-1000R Does 273 km/h on Wet Asphalt

When serious riders are gathering to race their beasts as hard and fast as they possibly can (And bikes endure), rain is just a minor detail: they're on the track to show some serious high-speed skills and not to complain about the inclement weather.
So that's how we get to see some really nifty onboard camera action from a Suzuki GSX-1000R, doing as much as 273 km/h. For the guys on the other side of the pond, this is more than 170 mph, and we know this is a lot on every track in the world.

Even more, we're dealing with some enthusiast riders, and not with WSBK or MotoGP stars. Now, we must also admire the guts to ride that fast on a wet airstrip, but we must also bow to their determination. At the same time, they also seem pretty well organized, and that's thousandfold more sensible than city racing.

You know what they say: you don't ride in the rain, you don't ride at all...
