At AIMExpo, Suzuki revealed that a new, smaller version of their acclaimed Burgman scooter will be sold in North America in 2014.
It looks like Suzuki is trying to bridge the significant gap caused by the rather disastrous operations which culminated with massive restructuring in North America, and adding more affordable vehicles to their line-up might be a good solution.

The Burgman 200 is a smaller, though not extremely dumbed down version of the Burgman 400 and 6500 units. It will boast around 18 HP, with a torque of 12.5 ft-lb (16.8 Nm) and the 4-stroke single will be mated to a CVT transmission.

ABS will also be offered as an option for those in search of more on-road safety. With 13" wheels, the Burgman 200 is definitely up for a smooth cross-town ride.

The underseat storage looks very promising, capable of accommodating 2 helmets, while the rich and actual dash sports comprehensive hybrid instrumentation and an EcoDrive LED light. No price was announced yet, but we can expect that the Burgman 200 be included in their financing program.
