Suzuki BOSS Family Grows with 2015 GSR750 and Gladius

Suzuki adds two more bikes to its growing, evil and elegantly menacing BOSS family. The most recent members of the exclusive Blacked Out Special Suzuki club are the 2015 model years GSR750 and the Gladius, two upper-middleweight machines which inherit the special edition livery of the BOSS line, but which are pretty similar to their standard versions.

Both bikes are dressed in the sober livery introduced by the mighty M1800R BOSS, complemented by the trademark bright yellow racing stripe, and the matte/glossy black alternation adds a very commanding look. Matching decal emblems, racing rim stripes and similar accents are also present, for a coherent custom attire straight ex works.

Even though the official photos of the new Suzuki BOSS machines have been shot with the aftermarket Yoshimura exhausts, the base prices of these bikes does not include these silencers or in the case of the GSR750 BOSS, the passenger seat cover. We loved the fluid design of Gladius’ exhaust, as such cans are rarely seen on contemporary bikes these days.

Still, both the 2015 GSR750 BOSS and the Gladius BOSS arrive with bar-end and engine protectors, emblazoned passenger foot rests and license plate holder. In the case of the Gladius, a new tail light was also added to the game.

The bikes have been introduced at Le Mans in collaboration with the SERT Suzuki world endurance team and were believed to be a France-only treat. Still, it looks like both BOSS versions of the 2015 GSR750 and the Gladius will also cross the pond and will be available in select Suzuki dealerships, even though in a limited run.

Customers will have to fork out $9,750 (€7,600) for the 106 hp 2015 GSR750 BOSS and $7,697 (€6,000) for the 2015 Gladius BOSS (72 hp), in their basic trim. ABS versions are also said to be available for some extra cash. If you plan to ride a BOSS, you’d better call your nearest Suzuki dealer soon, as we know that these bikes don’t last for too long in the showrooms, especially because they sell for only a small premium (if any at all) over the price of their stock siblings.
