Suzuki Appoints New Dealership in the UK

The British division of Suzuki just announced that it has extended its dealership network by appointing a new franchise and therefore bringing the total number of dealers to 148. The new dealership, Whitequay Suzuki, is situated on the Faraday Road in Newbury.

Suzuki Newbury will be fully operational from November 23 and opens for business just three months after six new dealers were simultaneously added for the brand.

“This significant new addition to the Suzuki network highlights our commitment to the future growth of the business. Whitequay has an established and very good reputation in the South and we look forward to a long and productive relationship with them,” said Dale Wyatt, General Manager of Dealer Development, Suzuki GB, commenting on the new opening.

Whitequay has grown from a single franchise in 1991 to a group that has locations at Newbury, Reading and Southampton and currently sell around 2,000 new and used cars each year. It is able to offer new and approved used car sales as well as a comprehensive after sales facility with servicing workshop and MOT testing facility.

The Suzuki range will be found at the new dealership, including the Swift, SX4, Jimny Compact 4X4 and Grand Vitara models as well as the recently launched Alto which, the carmaker says, is one of the lowest emitting 5-door petrol cars on sale at 103 g/km. Alto has a combined fuel economy of 64 mpg and costs just £35 per year in road tax.
